✨ Proud to celebrate our FIND team!
We’re happy to share that three of our members – Matteo Coronese, Elisa Palagi, Gianluca Pallante – have been awarded a Starting Grant from the Fondo Italiano per la Scienza (the “Italian ERC”), sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Research.

Their projects tackle key challenges around climate change, sustainability, inequality, and nature-related systemic risks, contributing to a better understanding of how our economies and societies can respond and adapt. 🌍💡
Below, our three winners share a summary of their projects:
🔹 Matteo Coronese, Project: Tackling Regional Asymmetries and Climate inEqualities (TRACE)
«My project investigates how climate change affects different income groups within countries and develops a unified framework to connect emissions to economic impacts, ultimately informing fairer and more effective climate policies for the most exposed and vulnerable populations.»
🔹 Elisa Palagi, Project: Socioeconomic and Climate Inequality: understanding disparities in emissions, climate impacts and perceptions to design Policy for an Equitable Transition (SCI-PET)
«My project, SCI-PET, explores how economic inequality relates to unequal contributions to and impacts of climate change, focusing on Italy and Norway. It also investigates public perceptions of climate change and climate policies to support the design of an equitable transition.»
🔹 Gianluca Pallante, Project: NAture-related systemic Risks: micro exposures, macro-financial policies for a Network-based Integrated Assessment (NARNIA)
«By linking environmental degradation to the complexity of economic and financial systems, the project will provide the evidence base needed to design frameworks that ensure both macroeconomic stability and ecosystem resilience.»
A big congratulations to all three of them – and to everyone involved in making these projects possible. We’re excited to support this journey and to see the impact their research will have in the coming years. 🙌📊
