New Collaboration Alert: FIND Joins Forces for DS-CHANGES project

We are happy to announce the DS-CHANGES project – a collaboration between Università degli Studi di Brescia, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, and Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), supported by Fondazione Cariplo.

🌍 Our goal is to explore and support the adoption of carbon farming – a set of agricultural practices that can capture and store CO₂ in soils, helping both the climate and the farm. By combining agent-based modeling, farm-level data, and policy simulation, we aim to:

1. Understand what drives (or discourages) farmers from adopting these practices;

2. Evaluate how carbon credits in voluntary markets facilitates diffusion of soil carbon sequestration;

3. Carbon farming doesn’t just reduce emissions – it also supports biodiversity, improves soil fertility, reduces water pollution, and can enhance farm profitability.

Looking forward to this interdisciplinary journey across economics, data science, and climate policy… with an amazing dream team! Davide Bazzana Mattia Guerini Elisa Grugni Cristina El Khoury Matteo Coronese Francesco Lamperti
